Design
Designs are ideal for new spaces, overhauls, and/or more specific environmental issues.
We can provide designs for specific locations on your site or create comprehensive plans for complete landscape overhauls. The design process begins with a 1 hour on-site consultation with a follow-up design bid. Our design fees are based on the scale, scope, and complexity of the project and site. Design turn around time varies on our current workload and time of year but typically take 3-4 weeks to complete. Once complete, we present the design on-site and talk through the project in detail, costs and process for install, and any changes that need to be made.
Light Dark designs each project to fit the needs of the site—solving water issues, creating a unique plant-palette suited to the soil and sunlight availability on-site, utilizing materials that cohere with existing structures, and creating a visually pleasing landscape.
We aim to push creative boundaries with innovative solutions that connect and complement the surrounding landscape.

Most designs are completed with a Major Design and one or two revisions. The design process typically takes around 5 weeks.
